Which way to go?

admin | 03/14/2010 – 14:41

Now we’re going to see a few ways to promote materials we grab from the affiliate program.

Mostly promoting depends on your personal possibilities. Meaning that if you’re good in programming for example, it’s easier to build an own site where you do whatever you want to. Let’s see 3 ways now.

First the most simple one, the free site. A free site can contain anything you want, pictures, videos, text. But you have to be aware that if you show too much, people won’t sign up to the site you promote. With this you’ll generate big, worthless traffic. Free site sample

Then there is another oldschool promotion method, the TGP (Thumbnail Gallery Post). Thumbnail Gallery Sample

If you haven’t only seen porn tubes in your life, you had to meet a TGP site by now. It’s a site where affiliates (and the site owner) submit image and video galleries (or FHGs) and in a rotation the best ones or all of them appears on the main page in one thumb picture. You can have your own TGP site or just submit to them by creating your own galleries. If you own a TGP you can host it on free or pay host as well.
TGP Site

A thumbnail gallery contains approx 10-20 thumbnails which links to their full sized version. Usually you have to put up a few text links but you can read the special rules on almost every site you plan to submit. From simply submitting galleries you can get a nice amount after a while.

And the 3rd one is the tube. Tube site

Since tubes exist adult webmasters arguing about it’s pros and cons.

Regarding to promotion, tube sites are mostly using hosted videos, mostly FLVs or WMVs.

If your affiliate program offers it you can easily grab the embed code and put it onto the tube site, or if possible, you can upload trailer videos too.

For all these, you’ll need a few sotfwares and other things. If you plan to make your own galleries or your own site, you will need graphich softwares and HTML editors. You also need a place to host your material. It can be free or pay host as well.

Basics of an affiliate program

admin | 03/13/2010 – 11:33

After the previous post written for beginners, let’s continue the basics!

Now you’re registered to the chosen affiliate program. After login usually you’ll see your statistics, your current balance, link codes for different programs (revshare, pps, wmref., etc.) you will need to use to get sales and the promo tools. Let’s see them one by one!

Statistics, balance:

This is the most important section of an affiliate system. It counts all the clicks come from through your link codes. You can check the raw click, the unique clicks, different ratios and your earnings here. You can make queries in almost every way you want.

Link codes:

In this section you can choose what program type you’d like to use. Let’s see the difference between the two biggest one: revenue share and pay par signup!

Revshare: the goal of this is to keep the member as long as possible. On signup the affiliate gets a given percentage of the join price (basically it’s 50%) and if the member stays for multiple months the affiliate gets money after every monthly recurring. In this way you can have a steady monthly income.

Pay per signup (PPS): as the name says. Once you get a signup, you get a fix amount (it’s different in each affiliate program) mostly it’s around $30. But

you won’t get money if the member stays for more months.

Since adult biz is not something that makes you rich instantly, the majority of affiliates choose revshare.

There’s a different kind of link code, called referral link. This can be used to gather more affiliates to the program and to you as well. If an affiliate signs up through your referral link you’ll get a cut from his earnings or you can get a fix amount after each of them. It could be a good amount after you brought a serious amount of new affiliates to the program.

Promo tools:

From here you can grab all the marketing tools you need to advertise a site. Banners, free hosted galleries (ready-made galleries hosted by the program owner), zipped contents (including only pics or videos if you want to make your own gallery), trailer, hosted trailers, iFrame tool, etc.

Choose the promo tool you need, grab a link code for the site you want to promote and you can move on to the next step…

Find what you’re looking for!

admin | 03/12/2010 – 14:00

Let’s start from the beginning!

Since it’s a newbie adult webmaster blog too, let’s assume, that there are a few people who doesn’t know anything about this busniess or just a little. For them let me explain some basic terms, like the affiliate program, promo tools, payout, etc…

So when you decide to join the huge family of adult webmaster, you probably want to find a good site operated by a company, who you can promote later. For this you have to choose the niche (or more niches) you’d like to promote and find some sites with that niche. It’s the easiest thing, because google is your friend when it comes to pornsites.

Once you found one or more sites you have to see what affiliate program operates that site. Most of the times you can find the link to the program at the bottom of the paysite under the ‘Webmaster’ menu.

Click it and you finally reach the main page of the affiliate program. Ususally the main page includes the list of the sites the program operates the program offers (Revenue share, Pay per signup, Pay per click, webmaster referral, etc…), list of the pre-made promo tools, other advantages of the program, terms&conditions and the signup form. (screenshot)

After you read the site through and decided to join, simply fill our the signup form. For this the program will ask personal informations from you, like your name, address, contact (email, icq, etc) and you have to pick a payment type: check or wire.

Checks are the old fashioned way

Wire is instant as well but it has a fee

Now you’re almost ready, the only thing left is to wait for the approve email. Be aware that lots of the times the approve goes manually and has a time period (e.g. 24-hour) so if you can’t login instantly don’t be mad, you’ll be in after a while! :)

Once you have the confirmation, you’re ready to start!

To be continued…
